| Description |
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: It is the duty of all employees to understand and perform their job tasks to the highest level at all times.
1. Provide technical expertise in analyzing user requirements, document the requirements, and translate them into appropriate requirement specifications. This will also include tracking and documenting approved changes made to the production environment.
2. Oversee the implementation and support of software applications including Practice Management and Managed Care applications. Design, develop, document, test (with appropriate team members) and implement business requirements for new functionality and system modifications.
3. Identify and implement methods to continuously improve system processes and outcomes. Suggest improvement processes to ensure systems are working more efficiently and improve quality
4. Collaborate with management in developing technical directions, setting objectives, and setting realistic and challenging goals.
5. Make technical decisions by applying fundamental engineering principles and specialized knowledge or skills to assigned tasks.
6. Represents the I.S. Department in appropriate work groups, teams, committees and/or meetings
7. Thoroughly understand user's environment and how application software can be used to increase efficiencies, cost effectiveness and quality care.
8. Ability to handle fluctuating volumes of work and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines and needs of user community.
9. Assist in planning and coordination of application upgrades and releases, including development and execution of test plans.
10. Demonstrate ingenuity, self-reliance and resourcefulness. Able to take action without instructions using attained business knowledge which is applied consistent with current configuration and operations.
11. Provide quality deliverables within time and budget commitments
12. Bring structure to an unstructured solution by articulating a framework and developing a solution
13. Enhance own professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops
14. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
COMPANY STANDARDS – It is the duty of all employees to be at work, on time, and to adhere to Company Standards to the highest level at all times.

7. Demonstrate teamwork by assisting coworkers with tasks/training as directed and attending and participating in mandatory meetings.
8. Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner per department standards (ie. 3 rings, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
The candidate must be a 'leader' and not afraid to be assertive and move work forward in a timely manner. He or she must be able to facilitate group meetings, documents results, and provide detailed requirements. Must have experience in discovery, analysis and specification of business requirements for project initiatives and maintenance. Ability to see both the big picture and details along with translating concepts into practice. Strong data development, analytical, and reporting skills are required.
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly with Excel and Access. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical coding (CPT4, ICD9 & HCPCS), and common claims adjudication practices. Strong knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management. Must excel in interpersonal communication and customer service and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. They must excel in organization and attention to details and follow through. Must have good listening skills, and be able to effectively and clearly communicate (written and verbal) in English. This includes the ability to professionally and diplomatically discuss difficult topics while promoting the Company’s position.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of seven years of healthcare IS experience with the following: process and procedures, workflow planning, workflow mapping, business/data analysis, gathering and documentation preparation.
Minimum of five years of overall business/IS experience.
Minimum of five years experience trouble shooting/supporting TriZetto QNXT software application.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
